El Entierro de la Sardina

La explosión final de las fiestas que cada Primavera se celebran en de la ciudad de Murcia, es un gran desfile cargado con matices carnavalescos, en donde se mezclan toda una variada gama de elementos con marcado carácter mediterráneo. El fuego, la luz, el color, la música; combinados de una buena dosis de Mitología, con la venerable condición del pueblo murciano, encumbran la noche final de una semana plagada de festejos.

El Bando de la Huerta

La fiesta más popular y multitudinaria de cuantas se celebran en la ciudad de Murcia tiene un nombre: El Bando de la Huerta. El primer martes después de Semana Santa, la huerta invade la ciudad para mostrar y perpetuar sus costumbres. El folclore, los oficios, los atuendos que determinaron a la incomparable huerta murciana, engalanan la Murcia urbana en un gran desfile caracterizado por esa generosidad perpetua del pueblo murciano.

La Feria de Murcia

La Feria de Murcia tiene sus orígenes en el siglo XIII, cuando el 19 de mayo de 1266 el rey Alfonso X el Sabio otorgó una disposición para que esta capital celebrara una feria por la festividad de San Miguel. Por aquel entonces, el motivo de estas ferias era principalmente el de intercambio de productos, mercancía y ganados. Aún quedan, por tanto, en la feria actual reminiscencias de aquellas fechas con la Feria de ganado y los puestos de artesanía.

Murcia me gusta. Ciudad clara de colores calientes, de piedras tostadas, color de cacahuete tostado. Y notas deliciosas de luz, las calles estrechas y sin aceras, las “veredicas del cielo”, las tiendas de los artesanos, el esparto y la cuerda. Y ahora en el crepúsculo, una luz maravillosa.
